FAQs

  • Benefits of incorporating plants in offices are numerous:

    • Indoor plants remove up to 87% of air toxins in 24 hours

    • Plants create a humidity level matching the recommended human comfort range of 30% to 60%

    • Reduces absenteeism in workspaces with plants from 15% to 5%

    • A minimum of 300g of CO2 is eliminated from the enclosed environment for every sq m2 of leaf surface in the area per year.

    • Adding plants increases air quality, energy savings, attentiveness, productivity, and employee creativity

    • Adding plants reduces ambient noise, allergens in the air, mental fatigue, and lowers blood pressure and stress levels

  • Living walls are vertical or green wall systems attached to the interior or exterior of a building.

Bagicha designs, installs, and maintains living walls for interiors of a building. They are modular systems of grids and trays made of waterproof material to protect building interior from moisture and also are designed to provide air circulation.

Living walls are planted with 6” plants, and the plants absorb water using a wicking system from the trays. A variety of plants are used to create patterns. Plants can be rotated to provide color and seasonal change.

  • Yes, as with all ecosystems, maintenance is integral to the success of a living wall!

All living wall systems are installed with a one year maintenance service included. Service technicians will be there every two weeks to water, fertilize, trim, and maintain the living walls. The first year is critical to the installation of a living wall.

    • Complimentary consultation: We want to understand your vision, functional requirements, and budget to tailor a design appropriately.

    • On-site Walkthrough: We check on light readings and other measurements to enable the best selection of planters, plants, or other installations.

    • Design Proposal: We'll share a cohesive design with you. This includes elements of plantscape, total cost for the project, timeline, and any monthly maintenance or additional services.

    • Design Approval: Once you've approved your design, it takes about 2 ½ weeks to procure materials and install them at your site! Note that our projects require a 40% pre-payment.

    • Ongoing Guaranteed Maintenance: Ongoing maintenance starts on the installation date. Bagicha technicians will be there to service the plants and maintain them in optimal conditions to keep them thriving and healthy.

  • The whole process takes about 3-4 weeks. 1 week for the initial consultation and proposal, and about 2 ½ weeks to procure the plants, planters, and install them.

  • Moss walls are made of moss harvested from nature in its prime condition. They go through a preservation process and are dyed with natural resin and vegetable dye. Moss walls are then custom built on-site at Bagicha.

  • Moss walls are preserved. We suggest placing them in indoor spaces away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. And yes, that means you can place them in a dark room with no natural light!

They require minimum humidity levels of 50%, otherwise they can get brittle over time.

  • Moss walls are lightweight and can be hung like a painting or art work. They are installed on custom-designed wooden frames.

  • Moss walls are preserved. They do not need to be watered or maintained on a regular basis. We offer “annual moss wall care schedules” for cleanup at least once a year with a light brush or a can of compressed air to remove any particles that may stick to the moss wall.
